Here are five additional tips to help you as you plan your wedding:
1. Start Your Planning Early
Starting early can help alleviate some of that stress and ensure you get all the crucial details. Wedding vendors can book months to years in advance, so it’s essential to get your vendors picked out as soon as you book your date.
2. Determine Your Budget Right Away
What you can afford for your wedding will determine where you will have your wedding and what kind of vendors you will book. Talk to your fiance early in your engagement about how much you want to spend on your wedding. If your parents are helping you out with all or some of your wedding budget, have that conversation with them early on as well. This will make planning much less stressful. If you are looking for ways to save money, I wrote a blog about that here.
3. Ask For Help When Needed
Don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed. If you have friends and family members willing to help you, accept the help! From personal experience, I know it’s hard to let go of things because we want things done a certain way, but sometimes it’s okay to let go and trust others to help you.
4. Make Time For Eachother & Self Care
Once you get engaged, it is easy to only talk about the wedding and all of the things that need to get done. Make sure yous spend some time together outside of the wedding planning craziness. Remember to care of yourself and your mental health during this exciting but sometimes stressful time.
5. Stay Organized and Use A Checklist
Staying organized is essential to your wedding planning success. A checklist can help you stay on task and get everything necessary done.
